Terms of Service
Last updated: April 23, 2026
Acceptance
By creating an account or using Thromes (the mobile app, the website, or any related service), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Your account, your content
- You own the Thromes, reflections, photos, and other content you create. Thromes stores it and displays it back to you.
- When you mark a Throme as public, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display it to other users within the app. That license ends when you delete the Throme.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. Email us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Thromes.
Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use Thromes to:
- Post content that's illegal, abusive, harassing, or violates someone else's rights
- Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation
- Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Send spam, scrape, or use automated means to interact with the service
- Upload malware, viruses, or otherwise harm other users
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Our content + trademarks
The Thromes name, logo, app design, website copy, and brand assets belong to Dan Meyer and its operators. You can't use them for commercial purposes without written permission.
No warranties
Thromes is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will always be available, bug-free, or meet your specific expectations. The content is for personal inspiration and tracking, not medical, financial, or legal advice.
Physical safety
Some Thromes in the catalog describe activities that carry real risk (travel, extreme sports, challenging physical feats). You're responsible for evaluating any activity, consulting appropriate professionals, and making safe decisions for yourself. Thromes and Dan Meyer aren't liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from your pursuit of anything in the catalog.
(Translation: we're not telling you to swallow a sword. Dan isn't telling you to swallow a sword. Don't swallow a sword.)
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of Thromes is limited to $100 or the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is greater. We aren't liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
Termination
You can delete your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes are resolved in US courts.
Changes
We'll email you about material changes before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
